Hey there. I guess my biggest motivation at the start was wanting to be in a relationship where I was taken seriously. I had just broken up with my boyfriend of 3 months and he treated me pretty badly and made me feel like he was doing me a favour by being with me. I guess to ‘show him what he is missing out on’ was my biggest motivation.
I ended up losing 32kg but lost motivation when I could fit into clothes again.. then had ‘other health issues’ along the way. I’m back on track, and I’m glad you’ve taken the first step.
Have goals. So this week, try cutting back on sugar. Next week try portion sizing. The week after that, try eating less fat. Just go like that.
You will start to see a difference in yourself within about a month. It isn’t a race. Don’t give up if you can’t see it yourself.
The other goals I have are weight goals. Not everyone is into them. Some people go by clothes. I’m determined. So reward yourself every time you hit a goal.
One of mine is, every 3 kilos I lose, I give myself $20 for my piggy bank. After 10kg I give myself $50, then go shopping as my treat for being good.
Don’t reward yourself with food. Uhhh I guess thats it really as far as advice goes. Get a blood test from your doctor just in case you have a medical condition that prevents you from losing weight.
